RDz Editor extensions (DELTA, SWT01, S-Cobol, AMB and others)

 

The RDz standard editor used for editing Cobol Source Code is the LPEX editor. This editor is able to recognize not only Cobol- and PL/I-code, but also embedded SQL- and CICS-commands and to highlight these in colour. However, this editor marks all lines as errors which are not recognized as Cobol- and PL/I-syntax.

 

With our editor extensions for RDZ we support SWT01, DELTA, S-Cobol, AMB and many other generator languages. Apart from the standard features listed above, the key words specific for the respective generator’s code are

 

highlighted in colour (syntax highlighting)

shown in the structured view of the program (outline view)

or all other code fragments are hidden via the filter functions

 

Of course our product also supports

 

editing on your desktop PC with data transfer to the host (local edit)

remote editing on a host PDS (remote edit)

calling the respective PC-based generators and compilers (local build)*

calling the respective host-based generators and compilers (remote build)

handling errors in the error console of RDz (task list)

 

Our editor extensions also provide support for mixed codes, e.g. Cobol, DELTA and SWT01 combined in one program.

 

Should you work with generators of other manufacturers or with self-developed products, we will gladly integrate these into RDz on request.
